Ingredients list for the Shrimp Verrines

For 4 persons, you’ll need:

  • 3/4 cup (200 g) cream cheese
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cucumber
  • A few fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

For the marinated shrimps

  • 16 small raw shrimps
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • Olive oil – Salt and pepper
  • Sesame seeds (or poppy)

Directions

Preparation of  the Tzatziki:

Peel the cucumber, cut it in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds from the middle.

Grate the cucumber and put it to drain in a colander. Take a clean cloth, and put the cucumber in it. Squeeze the cucumber to lose its water.

In a bowl, put the cream cheese, add the clove of garlic, mint leaves washed and chopped, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix well and add the cucumber.

Store in the refrigerator.

Prepare shrimps:

Shell the raw shrimp and put them in a dish.

Add lemon juice, grated ginger, salt, pepper, and a little olive oil. Marinate for 30 minutes in the fridge.

Heat a frying pan to cook the shrimp. At the end of cooking, add the sesame seeds.

Preparation of verrine:

In each jar, put up the tzatziki, and add the shrimp on top.

For garnish, add mint leaves. Here we have a great verrine recipe!
