Photo, Recipe & Content Sharing Policy

Thank you for your interest in sharing Eatwell101 content.

Eatwell101 / Reach Media Inc. invests significant time and resources in creating original recipes, photography, editorial content, and other materials.

Unless otherwise stated, original photographs, written content, graphics, videos, recipe descriptions and instructions, and other copyrightable materials published on Eatwell101 are owned by or licensed to Reach Media Inc. and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

This policy explains the limited ways in which Eatwell101 content may be shared without requesting additional permission.

1. Sharing an Eatwell101 Photo to Recommend Our Content

You may use one Eatwell101 photograph from an article or recipe for the purpose of recommending, discussing, or linking to that specific Eatwell101 content, provided that:

  • you use no more than one photograph from the page;

  • the photograph is not materially altered;

  • Eatwell101 is identified as the source;

  • the photograph is accompanied by a clear and prominent link directly to the original Eatwell101 page;

  • you do not reproduce the recipe, article, or substantial portions of the accompanying text;

  • you do not imply that Eatwell101 endorses you, your website, product, or service; and

  • your use is not otherwise commercial, misleading, unlawful, or harmful to Eatwell101.

For example, a website discussing a collection of dinner ideas may use one photograph to introduce an Eatwell101 recipe and direct readers to Eatwell101 for the recipe.

You do not need to contact us for permission when your use clearly falls within these guidelines.

2. Using More Than One Photo

Permission to share one photograph does not extend to galleries, slideshows, collections of Eatwell101 photography, or multiple photographs from the same article or recipe.

If you would like to use more than one Eatwell101 photograph, please contact us for written permission or licensing information.

3. Commercial and Promotional Use of Our Photography

You may not use Eatwell101 photographs to advertise, market, illustrate, endorse, or promote a product, service, business, publication, application, or other commercial offering without our prior written permission.

Eatwell101 photographs may not be used as:

  • stock photography;

  • clip art;

  • generic food photography;

  • product packaging or labeling;

  • advertising creative;

  • commercial social-media creative;

  • restaurant or menu photography;

  • illustrations for unrelated articles or recipes;

  • website or application design assets;

  • marketplace or ecommerce imagery;

  • training, promotional, or marketing materials.

Commercial licensing may be available in some circumstances.

Please contact us to discuss licensing, permitted uses, attribution requirements, duration, territory, and applicable fees.

4. Recipe Use

Eatwell101 does not grant permission to republish our recipes on other websites, applications, newsletters, publications, social-media posts, databases, or other services.

If you would like to share an Eatwell101 recipe, please link directly to the original recipe on Eatwell101.com rather than reproducing it.

You may describe the recipe in your own words and use one photograph in accordance with Section 1 above, but you may not reproduce our original recipe instructions, descriptions, headnotes, explanatory text, or other protected expression.

A recipe’s underlying idea, cooking method, or simple list of ingredients may not by itself be protected by copyright under U.S. law. However, Eatwell101’s original written expression, photography, explanatory material, arrangement, and other copyrightable elements may be protected.

Nothing in this policy is intended to claim copyright protection over material that is not eligible for copyright protection under applicable law.

5. Adapted and Inspired Recipes

Cooking naturally involves common ingredients, techniques, and culinary ideas.

You are free to develop your own recipes and write about your own cooking experiences.

However, describing an Eatwell101 recipe as “adapted from,” changing a few ingredients, or making minor wording changes does not by itself grant permission to reproduce our original written instructions, photography, or other protected content.

If an Eatwell101 recipe inspired your own genuinely original recipe, we appreciate attribution and a link to the Eatwell101 recipe that inspired you.

Please use your own photographs and your own original writing for your version.

6. Social Media Sharing

You are welcome to share links to Eatwell101 content on social media.

You may also use platform-native sharing functionality or link previews generated automatically when sharing an Eatwell101 URL.

Downloading Eatwell101 photographs, videos, or other content and republishing them as standalone social-media content is not permitted except for the limited one-photo sharing use described in Section 1 or with our prior written permission.

Please do not reproduce an entire Eatwell101 recipe in the caption, post, carousel, video, or comments.

7. Content Syndication and Republishing

Eatwell101 does not authorize third parties to syndicate or republish our articles or recipes unless we have entered into a separate written agreement permitting that use.

This includes republication through:

  • websites and blogs;

  • newsletters;

  • print publications;

  • mobile applications;

  • recipe applications;

  • content aggregators;

  • databases;

  • RSS-based republication services;

  • social-media accounts;

  • automated publishing systems;

  • commercial content platforms.

A link to Eatwell101 is not a substitute for permission to republish content.

Attribution does not by itself authorize copying.

8. Automated Collection, Scraping, and AI Use

Except as permitted by applicable law or expressly authorized by us in writing, Eatwell101 content may not be systematically collected, scraped, copied, extracted, downloaded, reproduced, or stored for the purpose of creating or populating a competing content service, recipe database, dataset, application, or commercial product.

Eatwell101 content may not be used without authorization to create datasets for training, fine-tuning, grounding, retrieval, evaluation, or otherwise developing commercial artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems where permission is required by applicable law.

Automated access must also comply with our Terms of Use and any technical access restrictions or machine-readable directives we make available.

Nothing in this section is intended to restrict uses that cannot lawfully be restricted under applicable law.

9. Search Engines, Links, and Ordinary Discovery

This policy is not intended to prevent ordinary linking to Eatwell101 or the normal operation of search engines and other services accessing content in accordance with applicable law, our Terms of Use, and our technical directives.

You are welcome to link to Eatwell101 articles and recipes.

We encourage links that send readers to the original Eatwell101 page rather than reproducing our content elsewhere.

10. Attribution Does Not Replace Permission

Giving credit to Eatwell101 does not automatically give you permission to use copyrighted material.

Statements such as:

“Photo by Eatwell101”
“Source: Eatwell101”
“Recipe from Eatwell101”

do not authorize a use that would otherwise require permission.

Likewise, adding a link to Eatwell101 does not authorize republication of an article, recipe, photograph, or other protected content.

11. Permission and Licensing Requests

If your proposed use is not clearly permitted by this policy, please contact us before using the content.

When requesting permission, it is helpful to include:

  • the Eatwell101 URL containing the content;

  • the photograph, text, or other material you wish to use;

  • where it will appear;

  • how it will be used;

  • whether the use is commercial;

  • the expected duration of use.

12. Copyright Infringement

If you believe material appearing on Eatwell101 infringes your copyright, please use the procedures described in our Copyright & Infringement Policy.

That policy explains how to submit a copyright notification or counter-notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

13. Reservation of Rights

Except for the limited permission expressly provided in this policy, no license or other rights in Eatwell101 content are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.

Eatwell101 / Reach Media Inc. reserves all rights not expressly granted.

We may modify or withdraw the voluntary sharing permissions described in this policy at any time.
