Photo credit: © Eatwell101.comHere’s a colorful, fresh flavored limeade that is absolutely perfect for these end of summer afternoons. The good news is that you can do it less than 5 minutes! Add a few fresh red currants to make an elegant and whimsical garnish.

Ingredients list for the Red Currant Limeade

Serves 4:

  • One handful red currants
  • 2 limes
  • Liquid honey
  • 2 1/2 cups sparkling water

Directions

1. Squeeze and collect lime juice. Rince red currant and remove from the stem. Crush half the red currants and mix with lemon juice. Filter the juice through a fine mesh strainer.
2. Divide the fruit juice into 4 glasses. Add 1/2 tablespoon liquid honey in each glass and mix well.
3. Gently stir in chilled sparkling water. Serve over ice (optional), and garnish with fresh red currants. Enjoy!
