Here is a chicken puff pastry recipe that may be a good idea to offer as an appetizer or starter. When you have some ready-made puff pastry in the fridge, you are set for a crunchy week. Without any doubt, all your sweet or savory dishes will finish baked in the oven, between two sheets of puff dough…

The composition of this chicken puff pastry recipe is very simple. Just follow the steps:Photo credit: © Eatwell101.com

Ingredients list for Chicken Puffs Pastry  recipe

For 4 people:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 endives
  • 2 small onions
  • salted butter
  • 1 / 2 bouillon cube
  • pepper
  • 4 Sheets of raw puff pastry

Cooking Directions:

Cut chicken fillets into strips, fry 1 minute on each side in a little salted butter.
Chop endives and small onions, pepper, put 1/2 cube stock and let braised in butter for 30 minutes.
Put the braised mix on a double sheet of raw shortcrust pastry and fold in 4. Baste the dough with the remaining butter.
Set in the oven for 10 minutes at 390°F ( 200°c).
If you feel like to, you can make a sauce (chicken stock, cream, mushroom) to moisten this a bit. Your guests will thank you: you can find it all a little dry if you’re meddlesome.
