Tips on how to cook pork chops
Your new family favorite pork recipe is here! Here are a few tips to cook the best pork chops ever:
- Buy bone-in pork chops when you can: The bone in the pork chop has some fat around that keeps the meat tender and juicy, plus it helps prevent the meat from overcooking. On the other side, boneless pork chops tend to be drier and easier to overcook if you’re not careful.
- Remove pork chops from your refrigerator about 15 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature. The meat will cook more evenly throughout and you’ll get that nice golden sear that makes the best pork chops ever!
- Rest the meat after cooking pork chops: A quick rest period of five minutes allows the juices to flow back through the meat and make it more tender. You can cover the pork chops with a shallow plate or loosely tent with foil.
