This apple bread recipes with fresh apples is the typical kind of practical food because it requires no knife nor fork or plate. And it can be eaten without hunger.
The genesis of this bread is as usual: you take what’s available in the kitchen and try to blend it together. In this case, the sweet/salty mixture is interesting. There is a soft side in the apple which is balanced by the flavors of old cheese gouda (18 months). Toasted hazelnut brings the fun side.
Ingredients you will need for Apple Bread Recipes
- 250g flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 apples
- 100g old cheese gouda (or any hard cheese available)
- 5cl roasted hazelnuts oil
- 50g + 15g butter
- 50g shelled hazelnuts
- A little salt and pepper
Preparation: Apples Bread
Preheat oven to 180°c. When hot, place the hazelnuts on a plate and leave 10 minutes (check that they don’t burn). Let cool and remove skin. Chop coarsely.
Peel apples and cut them into pieces. Sauté 10 minutes in 15g of butter. Remove and melt the remaining 50g in the pan.
Combine flour and baking powder.
Then add the eggs one by one, the old Gouda cheese cut into small cubes, apples, hazelnuts and hazelnut oil, butter. Taste and season with salt and pepper accordingly.
Place in a nonstick pan or silicone and bake for 45 minutes.
Let cool before slicing and taste (better cold). Enjoy!
