Orange, carrot and honey popsicles—Delight the kids and their friends with these cool healthy treats. So tasty, low cal and low fat, they also make the perfect way to sneak some veggies in food!
Ingredients list for the carrot orange popsicles
Makes about 8 popsicles:
- 6 oranges, peeled to flesh (remove the skin and white pith)
- 3/4 cup chopped carrots
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Juice of half a lemon
1. In a blender, purée carrots, oranges, lemon juice, sugar and honey.
2. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze until slushy, then insert sticks and freeze until solid, for at least 4 hours.
Note: You can add bits of orange with peel to the mixture before freezing, this makes nice chunks!
