Soothe your body and boost your immunity during the cold months with this natural healing lemon ginger tea. With honey to fight bacteria, lemon for energy, ginger for circulation, and chili for its anti-inflamatory properties, this blend is a true get-well kit by itself!

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients list for the healing tea

Yield: 2 cups (500ml):

  • 2 cups water
  • 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and sliced into rounds
  • Juice of 2 lemons + 1 or 2 slices
  • 2 or 3 star anise
  • 1 small red thai pepper, sliced
  • 2 or 3 tablespoons honey

Directions

1. Bring 2 cups water to a boil. Meanwhile put all the ingredients into a pitcher and crush slightly with a muddler.

2. Pour boiling water in the pitcher and mix well. Allow to steep for 5 minutes minimum before serving into individual mugs, filtering the ingredients. Add more honey if desired.
