Tips for the roasted garlic parmesan asparagus recipe

  • To make your asparagus more tender: You can pre-cook asparagus in the microwave with 1 cup water for 5 minutes, then soak into ice-cold water before using.
  • Thin asparagus should be done in as little as 10 minutes. Thicker asparagus will need between 15 to 20 minutes.
  • We find that parmesan is already salty, so go easy on salt at first, then taste and adjust seasoning to your taste.

How to Prep Asparagus

The thick ends of asparagus can be tough and woody. To remove those parts, cut 1 or 1-1/2 inch from the base with a sharp knife.

How and how long to keep the roasted asparagus leftovers?

The roasted asparagus will keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days in your refrigerator. Reheat in the oven, covered with foil.
