Tips for the garlic butter keto bread recipe

This easy keto skillet garlic bread is no-hassle, totally addictive and you can have it ready to go in less than 40 minutes. Here are a few tips to make the best keto bread ever:

  • Use a low moisture part-skim mozzarella. Regular mozzarella has a lot of moisture and can make the dough soggy in the end.
  • Trying using an aluminum-free baking powder so you avoid a metallic taste in the keto bread.
  • You can make the dough using a food processor.
  • If you do not want a pull-apart bread, you can make these as separate individual keto bread rolls. Count a few minutes less for the baking time.

How and how long to store the keto garlic bread?

As long as your keto garlic bread is properly wrapped up, you can store it for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months, but we doubt you’ll have any leftovers!

I was thrilled when I found this recipe. First time I made it exactly the way the instructions say to make it. It came out great, but OMG I struggled with the melted cheese part and getting that mixed thoroughly with the rest of it. I don't think I mixed it perfect, but it was so good! So this evening I made this bread again... with a couple of changes, a slightly different technique... and an OOPS that I was afraid would ruin it... but it came out awesome. My changes: I substituted 1/2 cup of almond flour for pecan meal. I increased the baking powder to 2 tsp. My oops: I didn't realize until after the bread was in the oven that I forgot the cream cheese My technique change: I figured the heck with the melting cheese part. I put EVERYTHING into my food processor and kept giving it short high speed pulses. Blended everything beautifully, including the cheese, in almost no time at all. SOOOO much easier!! Finished product: Actually looked like wheat bread, and the texture was just like real bread!!! Next time I won't forget the cream cheese. And I'm going to try using ALL pecan flour (close to no carbs in pecan flour). Hubby is from Texas and he votes for the pecan.

SO SO good! I was craving so sort of bread or biscuit and these turned out amazing! I left out the bacon just because I didn't have any but still turned out amazing! I burned my mouth on them because I couldn't wait for them to cool! LOL!

So Im living carb and sugar free these days due to trying to control my blood sugar without diabetic medication. I stopped eating bread but missed it so much. I've tried other low carb recipes but I couldn't get with the taste or texture of the bread. This recipe is GREAT!! I am doing my happy dance and I am getting ready to finally have me a mushroom burger. I did substitute 1/4 for the almond flour with coconut flour and I added xanthum gum to help stabilize it. Im so excited. Thank you!!

This morning I had a wish for cinnamon rolls, and being gluten intolerant, I decided to go for keto rolls with a sweet twist. I substituted walnuts for the bacon bits, and dipped the rolls in coconut oil and then cinnamon sugar (made with Xylitol) before baking as usual. I left half of them with just the cinnamon and used a lemon glaze made with Swerve powder and lemon juice. Both of the choices turned out very tasty and satisfied my wish for a sweet roll. Great recipe, and very versatile.

I'd left a review after first making these but don't see it. Wanted to add that this recipe is so much more than just for garlic bread. I am the only one in my family that doesn't eat grains so I had some leftovers. Decided to try to use them for a sandwich the next day. Cut one in half and toasted it on both sides in my toaster over until crispy. Then layered mayo and mustard, turkey meat, cheese and sprouts. Absolutely delicious - kind of like a grilled panini. As mentioned in my missing review, you can easily change the seasonings in the recipe, even maybe using half shredded cheddar, and get completely different tastes. That would allow for all sorts of yummy sandwiches.

I didn't add bacon and it was still really delicious. The inside wasn't completely cooked when the outside was browned. Next time I'll know to check the inside before buttering it. This recipe would be great with other flavorings like jalapenos and cilantro for a Mexican flare. I might even try halfing the mozarella and use a Mexican blend in place of the other half, and for the rolling and topping. For anyone thinking this will be soft just like grain bread, it's not. But it is the fluffiest keto bread I've tried.

Hmm, I can see the potential, I measured the ingredients carefully and the only thing is I didn't have a castiron pan to use so I used a high walled springform pan. It looked beautiful but it tasted like melted cheese and almond flour. It didn't resemble bread. I don't know if it needed more baking powder or what but it had no crumb, no 'fluff" and I am familiar with fathead doughs, so I know something went wrong. maybe my cheese was too moist. I bought it from walmart instead of my regular store. I refrigerated it for 10 minutes and had my timer set and everything. It's still a yummy gooey cheese snack but not breadlike at all unfortunately. Good Luck to everyone else and I'm jealous of those who got good results the first try! Kudos. BTW, the crust part of it was really nice and I had a ball of dough left that I spread flat, that came out kinda like a flat bread so maybe that might be a way to make it.

I don't eat bacon so I subbed 1/3 c diced jalapeno peppers. They were great. I got 8 buns and following the recipe otherwise, came up with 39 carbs or 5 carbs each.

They were a little bit on the dense side and now fluffy as they appear in the photo. I also had a hard time forming them into balls as I didn't account for the dough being quite sticky (did anyone else have this problem?) However, those two elements aside, the bread was absolutely delicious! I'll be making this again, but will try it with a food processor next time to see if that helps with the dough. Ah - so good!

I have made these several times and they are quite good. They are good with or without the garlic butter. I also don't have a cast iron pan, just put them in a glass pie pan and that worked well.

This is the best recipe!!! I make it the first time and it was perfect, looked just like the picture! The second time I got cocky and wizzed thru and forgot the eggs, it didn't rise like it should have. So I make it again and followed the recipe, to the letter. Perfect again! Thank you, it's so nice to eat great bread that's good for you too!
