Directions

1. To prepare your crockpot Tuscan sausage recipe: Heat oil or butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and saute for about a minute until fragrant.

2. Add the cream and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer, set heat to low, and simmer for about 10 minutes. The sauce should thicken enough to coat the back of a spoon.

3. Meanwhile, place the sausages at the bottom of your CrockPot. Season sausages lightly with Italian seasoning, crushed red chili pepper flakes, sea salt, and black pepper. Top sausages with sun-dried tomatoes.

4. When the cream sauce is ready, lower the heat and whisk in the Parmesan cheese, little by little, until smooth. Adjust seasoning for the cream sauce if needed.

5. Pour the cream sauce evenly over the sausages in the CrockPot. Try to get as much sauce as possible on top of the sausages and less on the bottom.

6. Cook your crockpot Tuscan sausage for 3-4 hours on HIGH or 6-8 hours on LOW. Add a little more liquid if the sauce thickens too much. When cooking time is over, gently remove the sausages from the crockpot and set them aside on a cutting board. Slice the sausages diagonally with a sharp knife.

7. Turn the crockpot on HIGH if it isn’t already. Add the chopped spinach to the crockpot and stir for a few minutes until the spinach wilts.

8. Return the sliced sausages to the slow cooker, spoon the liquid, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes on top, or pour them over the Tuscan sausages when serving. Serve your CrockPot Tuscan sausages with a sprinkle of parmesan over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice, or rice, couscous, or pasta for non-Keto. This crockpot sausage recipe is Keto and low-carb diet-friendly. Enjoy!

Cooking tips for the crock-pot Tuscan Sausage

  • Cooking garlic, cream, broth, and parmesan in the pan ensure the cream is well infused with garlic and stays smooth. If you don’t want to prepare the cream sauce on the side, you can put everything into the Crock-pot with sausage and give it a quick stir before cooking.
  • For a deeper flavor, you can brown the sausages in a hot skillet, then transfer to the pre-heated slow-cooker and follow with the recipe.

How and how long to keep the crockpot Tuscan sausage leftovers?

This crockpot Tuscan sausage recipe keeps well for up to 2 days in an airtight container stored in the refrigerator. Reheat gently in the microwave with a tablespoon of water to loosen the sauce.

I add everything to my crockpot and let it cook all at once! I also add some lemon juice and Tuscan olive oil that I have. I cooked some bow tie pasta for this but rice would also work well. Tasted great! Only cooked 2.5 hours since I have a small crock pot.

Great recipe! I used ground sweet Italian sausage that I cooked first and then made the sauce. Added it to chicken breasts in crockpot. Wonderful over pasta and cauliflower rice. Great depth of flavor and so easy!!

This is amazing. Walter's 3-star review on 2022-10-30 mentioned evaporation, and I wonder if maybe he didn't put the lid on, as the recipe does not say specifically to cover it. I've made it twice and had no problems with evaporation.

The flavor is warm. Cooking on high for 3 1/2 hours is too long. A good bit of the sauce evalporates. The sausage is tasty and falls apart when you take it out. The sun dried tomatoes add a nice flavor. Whether you cook it on low or high, watch for the evaporation of the sauce.

I don't know how this doesn't have more reviews cause the recipe is amazing! The sausage flavor is great, and the sauce is to die for!
