I know a hot and fragrant broth will probably be popular as temperatures continue to cool off. Here is a delicious chicken soup with minced prawns and pasta, flavored with cumin, turmeric and ginger. The fresh cilantro is almost essential to finish the dish with Thai inspirations.
Ingredients you will need for Shrimp & Chicken Breast Soup

For 4 people:
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp. ground cumin
- ½ tsp. turmeric
- 3 chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons. chicken stock powder
- 1 tbsp. of sugar
- ½ tsp. shrimp paste
- 1 piece of ginger (15 g)
- 16 raw shrimps
- 1/2 lb (250 g) of dry Asian noodles (or rice noodle)
- ½ bunch of cilantro
- Salt
Directions:
Peel and crush the garlic cloves.
Fry them in a pan with cumin and turmeric for 5 minutes over low heat.
Add thinly sliced chicken. Stir and sauté for 5 minutes. Pour 1.5 liters of water and add the chicken stock, sugar, shrimp paste, a peeled piece of ginger, and salt. Cook for 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove chicken pieces. Place the peeled and cut prawns in the broth.
Cook 3 minutes. Remove the prawns and add the pasta. Cook 5 minutes. Finally, add the chicken and prawns to warm them.
The dish is ready! The cooking time is important not to dry the chicken or prawns, which might lead them to be elastic. Sprinkle with chopped fresh coriander.
Tip:
Remember to remove the Chicken Soup Recipe with Prawns of ginger before serving.
