  • 3 tbsp (25 g) butter
  • 1/2 ounce pistachios, roasted and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of slivered almonds
  • 2 large tablespoons of orange marmalade
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

You can buy ready-made orange marmalade or make it yourself: find a great orange marmalade recipe here.

Wash, peel, and grate the carrots. Place in a saucepan with sugar and milk. Cook covered for 40 minutes. Then add the butter and pistachios. Cook 15 minutes uncovered, stirring occasionally. Then add the almonds, honey, and orange marmalade. Cook for 5 minutes more.

Place in a greased or nonstick dish. Allow to dry for 2 days. Cut into pieces and store in an airtight container. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
