If you’re a bit bored of burgers and classic sandwiches – like me – go for a pita sandwich for a change. It’s very easy because you just have to prepare the ingredients of a classic mixed salad: tomatoes, olives, tuna in brine, eggs, onions, all seasoned with a hint of olive oil.

Ideal for picnics, quick meals or lunches at the office… this sandwich is the fastest way to eat something on the go!

Some pita sandwiches can be a good basis for a balanced breakfast as soon as your choice of of filling remains sound.

Ingredients list for the pita sandwich

For 4 pita breads:

  • 3 tomatoes
  • Some olives
  • 2 boittes tuna
  • 4 eggs
  • Lettuce salad
  • 1 onion
  • Olive oil

Instructions

1. Chop and mix the ingredients and season with olive oil and a bit of pepper from the mill. Your salad is ready!

2. If you plan to eat the sandwiches right now, heat up pita breads in the oven at 360°F (180°c) or in the microwave for 30 seconds. You can also keep the bread at room temperature.

3. Cut a “hat” on each pita bread.

4. Fill the pita breads with the salad then store the sandwiches in a bento box of in foil so you can bring them out.
