Mojito Cocktail Recipe

Mojito Cocktail Recipe

Preparing a Mojito cocktail is quite easy, and honestly, it’s still a very refreshing drink. The classic Mojito recipe consists of lime juice, sugar (or syrup), and mint leaves. Then you have to mash this mixture gently with a muddler. The mint leaves should only be bruised — not shredded — to release the essential oils and flavors. This is the typical kind of drink that is proposed in summer. Thisis a variation of the classic Mojito cocktail with white rum, but with a different twist; I have replaced sparkling water with lemonade. This cocktail will surely delight your man!

Ingredient list for mojito recipe

For 1 glass:

  • 2 fl oz (6 cl) white rum
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 coffee spoon of cane sugar syrup
  • Lemonade
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 4 ice cubes

Directions

1 Pour the mint and the juice of half a lime into a mortar. Pound to extract the flavors of the mint, but be careful not to shred it, as said above. This is not the goal.

2 Pour into a tall glass – 7 to 8 fl oz (20-25cl) capacity.

3 Add the cane syrup and rum, and pour lemonade to fill the glass.

4 Add the ice cubes and stir.

5 Serve immediately!
