How to cook lobster tail

This method of cooking lobster tail is in the oven under the high heat of the broiler. This easy lobster tail recipe is broiled! We find that the high heat of broiling results in a more tender inside than regular roasting. The cooking time is pretty quick: about 10 minutes or less and the lobster tail tastes wonderful with the butter sauce.

Directions

1. To make the baked lobster tails: Place a rack in the middle of your oven and preheat the broiler. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Rinse the lobster tails and pat dry with paper towels.

2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute, then add the white wine. Allow to simmer and let reduce slightly for 2-3 minutes, then add the honey, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the honey has melted through the butter and the mixture is well combined. Set aside.

3. To prepare the lobster tails for broiling: Using sharp kitchen shears, cut the top shell down the center of the back to the end of the tail, leaving the tail fan intact. Remove vein or shell shards, if any. Run your finger between the meat and the shell to loosen it. Spread the meat slightly open. Pull and lift the lobster meat off of the bottom of the shell, being careful not to pull the tail out completely. Slightly push together the empty shell underneath and place the row of lobster meat on top.

4. Arrange the lobster tails, meat side up, on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle each lobster with a pinch of salt and pepper.

5. Using half of the butter sauce, brush over each lobster and reserve the remaining butter sauce for serving.

6. Broil the lobster tails in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes at 400ºF (200ºC) or until lobster meat is opaque, and slightly browned on top.

7. Garnish the baked lobster tails with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately with the remaining sauce and lemon slices. Enjoy! ❤️
