Low-carb diet tips
Following a low-carb diet can be challenging, especially at the beginning. Here are a few low-carb diet tips that might help people stick to their diet.
Knowing what foods are low-carb
Low-carb foods include:
- Lean meats, such as sirloin, chicken breast, or pork
- Fish
- Eggs
- Leafy green vegetables
- Cauliflower and broccoli
- Nuts and seeds, including nut butter
- Oils, such as coconut oil, olive oil, and rapeseed oil
- Some fruit and berries, such as apples, blueberries, and strawberries
- Unsweetened dairy products including plain whole milk and plain Greek yogurt
Which foods to avoid in a low carb diet
Sugary fruits (except named above), potatoes, beer, soda/juices, rice, pasta, bread, chocolate bars, candies…
Create and follow a meal plan that includes low carb recipes
The reason why a lot of people are craving or always hungry is probably that they don’t space out their meals properly. It’s best to have three meals and two snacks a day every three to four hours. A regular routine is better than snacking all day long without any plan, as you may end up taking in more calories than you should.
