  • You can use shrimp with tails on or off.

How to make Cilantro Lime Shrimp

With simple ingredients you may already have on hand that you can create the easiest and flavor-packed shrimp!:

Fresh lime — Don’t go for the bottled stuff. use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
Cilantro — substitute with fresh parsley or basil if you don’t like cilantro.
Garlic — you could use garlic powder instead of garlic minced if you prefer
red pepper flakes — you could use chili powder instead of red pepper flakes if you don’t like a bit of heat, leave it out altogether. Or for more heat, add more!
Honey — optional for low-carb, keto diet. You can also use brown sugar if you prefer. I love Honey in this. It balances out the acidity of the lime juice.

How long do I cook shrimp in the skillet?

This cilantro lime shrimp cooks FAST, over-cooked shrimp is rubbery, tough and not pleasant to eat at all. Cook the shrimp stirring frequently, until the shrimp is nice and pink and opaque. This will usually take 2-4 minutes.
