How to Sear Salmon
- To sear salmon filets, start by drying room salmon filets with a paper towel.
- Preheat a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add a tablespoon of olive oil and swirl it around the skillet.
- Season the salmon filets with salt and pepper and place it skin side down in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes and press down on the salmon with a spatula or spoon to ensure even cooking.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon filets are cooked through, crispy and golden. Serve the salmon immediately.
