Can we make this spiced apple cider on the stovetop?

Sure, you can! Use a large pot or dutch oven and bring just to a simmer. Reduce the heat just to a subtle simmer and cover for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse, then serve.

Can we “spike” the mulled apple cider?

Rum or brandy is delicious in this slow cooker mulled apple cider! Wait until after you heat your apple cider before adding, otherwise, your spirit will evaporate. Alternatively, you can mix in the spirit and apple cider in the glass when serving.

How long to keep the slow cooker apple cider leftover?

You can keep the apple cider for up to 3 days. Just cover the cooled slow cooker insert with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge. Reheat when needed, adding more liquid if necessary.
