How to make the mulled apple cider

  • Make cider (optional): Blend apple slices with a little water, strain, and adjust with more water if desired. Skip if using store-bought cider.
  • Simmer flavors: Add cider to a slow cooker or pot with orange slices, cinnamon, star anise, and pomegranate seeds.
  • Cook & serve: Simmer covered for 4 hours on low, then cool slightly. Serve garnished with extra cinnamon, pomegranate seeds, and orange slices.
