Directions
1. To make the sea scallops pasta: Rinse the scallops with cold water, and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels. Season scallops with salt and pepper, to taste. Cook pasta al dente, following the package directions.
2. Melt butter in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches, add the scallops to the skillet in a single layer and cook, flipping once, until golden brown and translucent in the center, about 1-2 minutes per side, no more. Set the pan-seared scallops aside and keep warm.
3. For the caper butter sauce: Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the capers; season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1 minute more.
4. Toss the cooked pasta in the caper butter sauce, then divide into plates. Top it with the scallops and the remaining caper butter sauce. Serve the pan-seared scallops and pasta immediately with the caper butter sauce, garnished with parsley. Enjoy!

How to keep sea scallops pasta leftovers
You can keep any sea scallops and pasta leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 3 days. Try reheating pasta and scallops separately as scallops can become chewy in the microwave. Use a skillet over medium heat and a dollop of butter to reheat the scallops.
