Tips for the Crockpot chili recipe

This slow cooker chili recipe with beans is simple and easy to prepare. Here are a few tips to make it even better:

  • Use hot sauce like Sriracha or Cholula instead, or in addition to Cayenne if you like your beef chili very spicy (we do!).
  • You can use a mix of half beef, half pork. Ground turkey would also be a good substitute for the chili recipe.
  • Add a diced red or green bell pepper with the vegetables when sautéing.
  • Dry toast the spices in a skillet if you have some time, this helps develop their flavor before adding to the beef chili.

  • Sliced jalapeños
