Can everything be recycled, you know? As you already noted, I love to use these small glass jars (100 to 200ml, I think) that used to contain foie gras or confit. I like to store them and use them to make egg casseroles or custards. Many advantages: transparent and robust; they are also oven-proof. Close the lid to keep the little custards in the fridge! You can find little glass jars here on amazon. Today, we’ll make a very simple and easy chocolate custard.

Ingredients lists for Chocolate custards
For 4 people:
- 1/4 cup (30g) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (25cl) of milk
- 1 1/2 ounces (40g) of chocolate
Directions
Preheat your oven to 360°F (180°c).
Whisk 1/4 cup (30g) of sugar with 2 eggs.
Cut the chocolate into pieces to melt properly while heating 1 cup (25cl) of milk. Then pour the chocolate into the milk and mix well
Pour the sugar/egg mixture into the milk and chocolate, whisking constantly.
Divide among 4 small glass jars and bake in a bain marie (hot start) for 15 minutes.
Let the custards cool, then refrigerate until serving time.
