2. Add feta, avocado, strawberries, and dried cranberry into the salad bowl.

3. For the dressing: In a small bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, red onion, and tomato. Add to the broccoli salad and gently toss to combine. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve the roasted broccoli salad immediately, enjoy!

Tips for the roasted broccoli salad recipe

This broccoli salad recipe is super filling: The fiber you get in every serving of broccoli can help keep you feeling fuller, and longer, and can act as an appetite suppressant. The fiber contained in broccoli is great for keeping your digestive tract healthy and properly working, so this salad is not only delicious, but it’s a nutrient powerhouse!

How to choose and buy broccoli

You can find broccoli all year round at your favorite grocery store, in the produce aisle. Choose broccoli heads with tight, deep green florets and firm stalks. The broccoli should feel dense and heavy for its size. Avoid broccoli with dried out or browning stem ends, or yellowing florets. The stem cut should be fresh a slightly moist. Good, fresh broccoli shouldn’t have any odor when you smell it.

How long to store the roasted broccoli salad

Store this roasted broccoli salad in an airtight container, it will last up to 2-3 days in your refrigerator. You can extend storage time if you prepare everything in advance. The broccoli salad holds up well. You can put it in the fridge and eat it the next day. You can assemble it ahead of time when serving to guests – but we would wait to dress it and add the avocado until right before.

We enjoyed this a lot. I got confused when it said to add the garlic and there is no garlic in the recipe ingredients, so I left it out. But, otherwise an excellent summer salad!
