Making pasta is simple. But recognize that there is pasta and… Pasta! Preparing state of the art pasta is not more complicated. These experts 10 tips will allow you to cook like the pros.

1 – Use plenty of water to cook pasta. It takes a lot of water to cook pasta. Pasta should not stick together other because of a lack of water. Then use a large pot or pan with high edges. To avoid overflow during cooking, make sure that the water level does not exceed 3 / 4 height.

– Follow the three-rag: one, ten, one hundred! 1 liter of water, 10 g of salt, 100 g of pasta

– Salt the pasta at the right time! Add salt at the right time! Boil water. Lower the flame, add a pinch of salt and let it dissolve. Is known: Salt is essential for two reasons: it is the flavor of the pasta and contributes to their outfit.

4 – Cook the pasta over high heat! Pour the pasta in boiling water and rekindle the flame to quickly bring water to a boil. Stir the pasta occasionally to keep it strong: mix with a wooden spoon, in the case of short pasta, or with a large fork, if the pasta is long. Cook pasta always shortly!

– For the “Italian pasta” or “al dente”, follow the cooking time indicated on the package of pasta. Remove pasta from the water about a minute before the end of cooking time and cut it in half. If a white spot appears in the middle, your pasta is not yet fully cooked. Extend cooking time until it disappears. Slightly translucent, while the pasta is “al dente” (to point).

6 – Drain the pasta (but not too much, they risk losing their “slippery”).

– Keep two tablespoons of cooking water that you can use for the sauce to adhere better to the pasta, facilitate the preparation of pasta, sauteed in a pan and dilute the sauce.

8 – To serve them cold in salads, use the following method: Drain the pasta, spread them in a large dish, pour a drizzle of olive oil, stir them for a while, then leave to cool. Once the pasta is cooled, it remains only to season them in a bowl.

9 – To prepare pasta in advance, you should cook them half the time indicated, cool completely, cover them with cellophane and put the dish in the refrigerator. This way you can eat pasta even 24 hours after having pre-cooked! You simply heat them 30 seconds in boiling water before serving.

10 – Spadellata the necessary finishing touch to the Italian ( meaning paddle pan in Italian): Once  pasta is cooked and drained, mix with the sauce or ingredients that accompany in a pan on the stove for about 1 minute. The flavors of the dish will be better highlighted and pasta will be heated through before serving.
