Looking for a super easy and totally cheap way to add storage space to your kitchen? For a little bit of DIY fun, Ashley from the blog My Perfect Nest mounted cheap shelves on the side of her cabinets. She painted the shelves black to match the cabinets color while the support were painted in white to seamlessly integrate with the wall. The effect is that the shelves fit so perfectly in this little space that you could think they came from the same cabinet manufacturer! She also added nice baskets, perfect to declutter the counter.
