For their 50th anniversary, Create and Barrel edit a line of limited series items of original products, each one interpreted of a contemporary designer. This April the original Arzberg teapot is under the spotlight…

London-based designer Nomoco offers an interpretation inspired by nature and water, bridging personal memories of the Nabegataki waterfall in her homeland of Japan and the famous Serpentine River in London’s Hyde Park. Appreciating that the Bauhaus-inspired teapot is perfect in its form without decoration, Nomoco says “it on the contrary made me want to fill it in with a rule-less sequence and irregular tempo.” This ink work underlines the free-flowing nature and the  sense of organic movement on this simple and minimal design. Only 200 numbered and signed items will be available, so make it quick if you want to put your hands on this collector…
