A delicious rhubarb sauce recipe to accompany either a pie, an ice cream or a yogurt.
Ingredient list: rhubarb sauce
- 2 lbs (1 kg) of rhubarb
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 1 whole egg
- 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
- 1/2 cup (10 cl) of liquid cream
Wash and peel the stalks of rhubarb, cut them into pieces, then cook in a saucepan with sugar and grated ginger. Let stew from 10 to 15 minutes over low heat and let cool. In a bowl, beat the egg with sugar and cream. Add the lukewarm rhubarb sauce. Serve warm or cold.
