The peeler: small, with a blade slit in the center, it can peel the skin of vegetables very finely. French call it “econome”. Very suitable for small round vegetables it is also useful for cutting chocolate or parmesan chips.
If you intend to buy:
Get one with a stainless steel blade and a plastic handle. The Y shaped peelers are more suitable for big vegetables like cucumber but are not so practical to grasp for smaller goods.
