The chestnuts can be stored in three ways: in the refrigerator, freezer and canned. You can keep within 15 days in the refrigerator. For longer storage, freeze them simply, with skin peeled beforehand. You can also package them as preserves. Just before preparing, if you want to get brown fluffy, just wrap them in newspaper.
