How To Add A Finishing Touch To Your Summer Cocktails

cocktail garnish tipsWhile it isn’t always necessary, a well thought garnish will give your cocktails an extra authenticity. It’s less work than you think, it helps finishing out the flavor profile of your drink, and your guests will notice. A simple twist of lime, shredded mint leaves, a star anise or a wedge of fruit is all you need to make your cocktail look like it was handcrafted by a world class bartender. When garnishing with a citrus peel, make sure to twist it over the drink before rubbing the rim and dropping it in. If you’re up to garnishing with fresh herbs, rub them gently between your palms to release the oils first.
