Directions: How to freeze strawberries

1. Start by selecting firm, ripe strawberries. Avoid any that have signs of mold or soft spots.

2. Rinse the strawberries in a colander with cold water.

3. Pat the strawberries dry with a paper towel or cloth.

4. Place the strawberries on a baking sheet lined with wax paper, making sure the strawberries are not touching.

5. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about an hour, until the strawberries are completely frozen.

6. Remove the baking sheet from the freezer and place the frozen strawberries into a freezer-safe container or bag.

7. Label the container with the date and contents.

8. Place the container back in the freezer.

9. Store the strawberries in the freezer for up to 6 months.

10. When ready to use, remove the desired amount of strawberries from the container and let them thaw before consuming.
