What Type of Flour Should I Use to Make Homemade Pasta?

Q: I’m a bit confused. When making homemade pasta, is it better to use all purpose flour or bread flour? I also read here and there that  a lot of recipes call for semolina. But whats the real difference and how will this affect my pasta in the end?
