How to Make Your Kitchen Sink Cleaner

how to clean kitchen sink pictures

Do you want to clean up your kitchen sink and make it shine like it was brand new? Whatever the material of your sink, we have the perfect solutions:

Enameled sink:

Fill your sink with bleach and water then leave for 15 minutes.  Drain and rub with a soft sponge and baking soda.  Rinse again.

Clean a stainless steel kitchen sink:

Using white vinegar, rub you kitchen sink with a cloth or sponge.  Once dry, wipe the steel surface with a few drops of clear cooking oil on a dish towel.  This will make your stainless steel waterproof and avoid any traces and limestone.

How to clean a ceramic sink:

Rub with bleach powder to restore whiteness, then rinse thoroughly.  Next, rub with a cloth and baking soda to remove stubborn stains or marks.

Clean plastic sink (synthetic, resin):

It’s a bit difficult because plastic tends to become porous with time, so the stains are more and more embedded.  So, boil white vinegar in a saucepan.  Once the vinegar boils, pour it into your sink and leave for 30 minutes.  Rinse.  Wipe with bleach or bleach powder with a soft sponge, then rinse again.

Cleaning a porcelain sink

You have to be careful not to scratch the delicate sink surface, so avoid any mechanical action.  Use bleach.  Fill the sink with hot water.  Add the bleach and leave for 15 minutes, then rinse.
