Editor: Maybe one of the best way to use overripe strawberries — just as any other fruit — is to make a puree or jam. Jam will keep for longer in glass jars. Here’s the recipe in pictures for the strawberry jam. Strawberry puree or sauce is just made of cooked and mixed strawberries, with a minimum additional sugar. It’s perfect as an accompaniment for ice cream. Otherwise, you can also use strawberries in baked goods like puddings or strawberry clafoutis. The aspect of fruit is not important when it comes to cakes so, your kids won’t be reluctant anymore!
