Are you looking for a quick snack? With this easy recipe, you can always control sugar amounts to keep munching healthy! Have you ever tried to coat cashews with something other than salt? The result is stunning here, with the bitter chocolate accents that blend with brown sugar and honey.
Ingredients list for the caramelized chocolate cashews
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 tsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Brown sugar
- Bitter chocolate powder
1. Roast cashews for 10 minutes at 360°F (180°C) in a baking dish, stirring occasionally so they don’t burn.
2. Prepare a bowl with sugar and/or cocoa powder.
3. Boil the butter, honey and vanilla extract until the mixture turns an amber color. Pour the cashews in. Mix well to caramelize and then pour into the bowl of sugar to coat. Spread them on a baking sheet and be sure to separate them so they do not stick together.
4. Leave to cool for half an hour so the caramel has time to get crunchy.
