Skip the straw and grab a spoon – this apple, pear, coconut and cranberry smoothy bowl is the perfect breakfast or post-workout snack!
Ingredients for the breakfast smoothie bowl
For the smoothie
- 1/2 ripe apple
- 1/2 ripe pear
- 1 cup yogurt
- Honey, to taste
- Shredded coconut, to taste
For the Toppings:
- Diced apple and pear
- Shredded coconut
- Dried cranberries
1. In a blender or food processor, add the apple, pear, yogurt, coconut and honey, in that order. Blend on low speed (it prevents the smoothie from becoming foamy) until the mixture becomes thick and creamy. Add few drops of water to adjust to the desired thickness.
2. Transfer to an individual bowl and chill in the refrigerator or freezer for 5 minutes, while you prepare the toppings.
3. Serve topped with apple and pear cubes, shredded coconut, dried cranberries. Enjoy immediately!
